Feel Rewarded

for improving as a horseman

Year End Awards

Our year-end awards exist to recognize commitment, consistency, and sportsmanship while supporting the growth of stock horse competition in Ireland.

Stock Horse Ireland is dedicated to promoting stock horse breeds, including the American Quarter Horse, Paint Horse, and Appaloosa. To support breeders and owners of these horses, we proudly offer the Stock Horse of the Year buckle.

We also recognize that many riders discover stock horse classes before they own a stock breed. Because of that, all other year-end awards are open to horses of any breed. If you are showing, learning, and supporting the program, you belong here.

Our awards are designed to encourage participation, reward progress, and build community, no matter where you are in your stock horse journey.

Full details on each award and how points are earned can be found below.

High Point Amateur

This award honors the Non Pro Exhibitor who earns the most points across the 2026 Stock Horse Ireland E-Shows in any any regular class. (Walk/Trot classes will not count)

Chairpersons Award

The Chairperson’s Award is not something you enter for. It is something you earn.
This award is presented to a Stock Horse Ireland exhibitor who consistently goes above and beyond in volunteerism, sportsmanship, and support of the SHI community throughout the season.

Recipients may be exhibitors who give their time behind the scenes, step up when help is needed, represent SHI with professionalism, and contribute positively to the atmosphere of our shows—both in and out of the arena. This award recognises character, commitment, and the kind of leadership that helps our organisation thrive.

The Most Improved Award recognises the exhibitor who demonstrates the greatest improvement in scores from their first show of the season to their last, in any class. This award is not entered into separately.

Eligible recipients must be enrolled in one of Stock Horse Ireland’s other awards programs. The award celebrates dedication, consistency, and the willingness to learn, highlighting meaningful progress made over the course of the season, not just final results.
