Crysta Brown - Vice Chair
Crysta Brown is Chairperson of Stock Horse Ireland and an experienced western rider, coach, and clinician with a strong background in All-Around events including Horsemanship, Showmanship, and Trail. Originally from California, she grew up competing with American Paint and Quarter Horses, developing a deep foundation in performance horse training and rider development.
Now based in Northern Ireland, Crysta works with riders across Ireland and the UK, sharing her knowledge through clinics, lessons, and mentoring.
Crysta holds professional credentials with both the American Paint Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association and has competed successfully at national level in the United States. She is passionate about supporting the development of western and stock horse disciplines in Ireland and is dedicated to helping grow opportunities for riders of all levels through education, community, and competition.
Anna Kelsey - Secretary
Anna first connected with Stock Horse Ireland through a biomechanics lesson at her local riding club, which introduced her to a new approach to riding and horsemanship. Competing with her mare Savannah in the SHI E-Shows, she began in the Equitation and Hunt Seat classes and quickly found a sport and community that felt like the right fit for both of them.
Anna went on to become an end-of-year winner in her awards programme category and has developed a keen interest in expanding into further western disciplines. She is passionate about the sense of community and partnership that Stock Horse Ireland fosters and is delighted to take on the role of Secretary, supporting the organisation's continued growth across Ireland.
Maddie Parker-Munns - Treasurer & Youth Officer
Born and raised in Florida, Maddie has been horse-obsessed since she could walk. Her equine journey began in rodeo where she was deeply involved in local rodeos and held Rodeo Queen titles at ages 10 and 16. She soon found her passion in Reining and now competes across Europe with her two horses based in France.
Maddie has been living in Northern Ireland for four years now and is the founder of Five Star Equine Sales, an auction platform for Reining horses in Europe, with plans to expand to additional disciplines. She’s passionate about growing the stock horse community here in Ireland and is excited to be part of what Stock Horse Ireland is building!
Kerry Murphy - Chair
Kerry is a horse owner and rider with a background in English disciplines, including riding club activities and local showing. Her involvement with Stock Horse Ireland began through the English classes, which provided an accessible introduction to stock-type horses and the organisation.
After enjoying the experience and gaining a deeper understanding of the sport, Kerry began participating in western classes as well, developing a growing interest in western disciplines and horsemanship.
With experience across both English and western formats, Kerry is particularly interested in supporting accessible pathways into stock horse sport, especially for riders transitioning from English backgrounds. As Secretary of Stock Horse Ireland, she supports the organisation’s development and helps promote the sport across Ireland.
